My father had approached Dr. Chetan Wankhede last month for my mother's worsening knee condition (10 yr old problem). Unlike previous multiple doctors, Dr. Chetan patiently explained the condition and surgery/ treatment to my old parents. He was patient, polite and made my nervous parents very comfortable. Dr. Chetan along with Dr. Shailendra Patil did mother's knee replacement surgery at Currae Hospital Kapurbawadi on 29 April. It was the new minimal invasive technique of surgery. There was excellent recovery. On the third day itself, mother was able to walk (quite fast) unassisted, without using walker, and did not feel much pain. Its now 5 days since surgery and my mother is walking very normally around the house. During the 3 day hospital stay, Dr. Chetan regularly checked on her and he was very responsive on WhatsApp too. I strongly recommend Dr. Chetan Wankhede. Excellent communication with patients, specially with the elderly. My mother was suffering from knee pain and was unable to walk properly. One of my colleague has suggested to consult with Dr Chetan , on first meet, after some tests he has advised and convinced my mother for knee replacement . 4 hours after operation she was able to walk with the help of Walker, on 2nd day of operation she climbed the steps and had been discharged.
